A little black number!

Hi All!

It  has been a while I know, probably because I have been so busy working on 5 bridesmaids jewels for a wedding in April of next year! Can't wait to show you what they look like once I have completed  all the necklaces and earings...but for now not even a sneak preview for you all. SORRY! ;-) but soon!

Here is one an item I worked on a while ago, I often wear black and wanted something simple that I can wear every day! So these are 3 seperate strings and I wear them all together or on their own! I made these earings over the weekend, and have already had 3 orders! Love them, so made myself a pair as well. I am wearing this today...yes with red!

Hope you like it, and will be showing you more really soon.

Take care and have a super rest of week

All time favorite

HI

Last one for today, right, here is the very first item I made when Janine and I had gone for classes at Beads n Things at West Coast village. I still just love this!

I love black and silver, and this items is made of all semi precious stones and some silver items and spacers. I just love this one, added a nice clasp in the back as well, a flower! Very nice.

I hope you enjoy looking at it as much as I enjoy wearing it.

Hope you all have a super weekend
Take care, till we chat again.

Red for the day!

Hi all!

Today is a stunning day in the mother city, Cape Town! So I thought that I would share my little red glass necklace with you. I made this one last week Thursday...well, more a case of having worked on it for 2 weeks!

I felt like making something red, which I never do by the way. I bought a red top a while ago and needed something to glam it up a bit. So found loads of red glas beads at Fantasia and some little see though glass beads and shiny rondelles. And made three seperate strings and then platted them together (like you would your hair ;-) I am very happy with it, and have worn it twice now.

Hope you like it. Got one more I am going to post today, and then it is weekend for a change.

Take care all, chat soon

I love this!

Good evening all

Don't know about you, but this has been a long day : ) Hope you are all keeping well?

Want to say thank you to all that have signed my guestbook, it is great hearing from you!

Now today I would like to show you one of the items I made during winter, this was a super rainy typical Cape Town day and I had to get up early to join Janine for a class we had gone to for a bit of inspiration on new ideas. Had really not felt like it  that particular morning, but once I got there and the creative juices started flowing the necklace you see here was my final result...morning well spent I had thought.

This necklace contains mostly semi precious stones as well as some nice spacers, mixed it up for a change. Then there is a chain only in the middle and the last string is a chain that has been linked out of pin sections filled with glass beads. It has a bit of weight to it as I am sure you can imagine, it being stones and glass mostly.

Hope you enjoy it.
Here is wishing every one of you a lovely eve.

Had this on today!

Hi All,

To those of you who have joined as followers, thank you and a warm welcome! Also to friends who have signed my guestbook many thanx! : )
I wanted to share my latest creation with you all, I started this one on the weekend and then finished it up last night after buying the ribbon at Merrypack yesterday.

This is a glass pendant with loads of glass beads all shapes and size with some glass pearls here and there. And then some really cool silver bits. Then just to round it off, I took some inspiration from Janine and added the orange ribbon in between to glam it up as well as make it stand out a bit more. Our companies corporate colors are orange and black, so looks good when wearing it to work : )

Let me know what you think.
Till we chat again,

Hi

Here is a picture of the necklace that I made to go with the bracelet on my previous post. This one has been sold, but I will be making more of these soon. What do you think?

Hi,
So here are 3 of the bracelet's that I have made. This one to the left is my latest, I got some beads from a Wholesale supplier Janine had stock of, and put this together, hope you like it. It is on elasticated cord.

Have to say, I like it, almost wore it to work myself this morning : ) but then decided to wear black...so maybe another day LOL!

Okay, next is my favourite one! This is my charm bracelet I made about 2 months ago, I spent lots of time on it and had to select each and every charm with loads of love and personal interest. I wear it at LEAST 3 times a week and love it every day! I have placed a 'D' charm as well as a 'V' in for my initials. It is busy and stunning and all mine! ;-) and it jingles a lot when I wear it. Love it!

This very last one is a bracelet I made to go with a necklace I made 2 weeks ago. Necklace has been sold but I still have the bracelet. Was a bit upset when I sold the necklace as I bought some of these beads two years ago and had no idea if I could get my hands on more. And once I had made this set, I loved it. So went shopping in last week and found the exact same beads! Thank goodness! SO now I can make more of them as it really came out so nice. I will post a picture of the necklace as well so you can see what this little gem looks like. Enjoy. Till next time, hope you are all keeping well and have had a good start to the day!

Sharon's big Birthday!

Hi
I have to share this one with you all!
My friend Sharon had a big birthday in August and I had decided to make her some special jewels to remember this birthday.

So needless to say I shopped for ages and bought so many things I decided NOT to use in the end! And then finally it all came together when I stumbled apon a Rose (which is what her name means by the way!)clasp at one of my fav shops. I decided to use it in the front as the centre bit of the necklace, and then I could plan the rest around it!

So this little inspiration gave bearth to my light obsession with pearls :-) I made her a real pearl necklace and earing set, and loved every minute of every hour I invested it putting it together for her with loads of love and memories.

Trust me in the end when I saw the look on her face and she was over the moon...and speachless I new my job was done!

I include a photo Sharon took of the set so I could add it for you all to see. Hoping you like them!

How had this all started?

Hi Again!
Okay, well I think now that I finally have a blog I need to probably give you some idea of how this had all come about. I have always been quite a create soul and have many hobbies and things I do to express my creativity.
I have had a couple of beads and stones over the last couple of years, due to a very good friend of mine Helen who got into beading and then got all of us hooked! Then earlier this year Janine (also a very close friend!) rediscovered her passion for beading and making jewelry, so she invited me along to a class in a shop at West Coast Village called Beads n Things. The owner is great and pretty soon Janine and I were eating, sleeping and breathing beads and new and great ideas of things to make :-)
Janine and I are now making our own jewelry and not too long ago she came up with this wonderful idea of the two of us offering beading parties! So, Saturday a week ago, we offered a class to 8 ladies as one of them had a Birthday and thought it might be fun for each of her friends to make their own necklaces.
IT WAS SUPER! Boosted our confidence in our technique and also confirmed the good balance between the two of us! Here's to many many more parties to come! Cheers!!
I include a photo of some of the earings that I have made.

A BIG THANK YOU!!!

Hi again!

I would have loved to blog more tonight, but on my way out the door, we are going to the movies.

However, there is someting I have to do before I sign off tonight. I need to thank both my 1st followers for joining! Janine, my beading buddy and hopefully partner in many joint ventures for the future of jewelry making! Also to Sharon, you have got to go and check out her blog all, she makes stunning creative cards! Check under blogs I follow on my site, and please go have a look at her site....AMAZING!

The second big thank you is to Sharon, once again. This beautiful blog you are looking at now (yes, mine you are currently viewing!) was created by her. I am clueless and she has been beggin me to create my own blog, so lunch time today we sat down and she created this stunning blog for me! It truely reflects my personality, she knows me well. You are a dear friend, and thank you so much, I love my site. Mwha!

Zoë's Bracelet

This bracelet was made especially for my cousin last night to celebrate her Sweet 16th Birthday.  She loved it and in typical teenage fashion said "Oh Cool, Cuz!" Yip...now I know this is not the best photo ever taken! But I loved the colors and she is so into Purple and anything that is covered in glitter! So, I used loads of glitter and shiny balls on this one and added two little charms, a flower and a disk that says: "DIVA"...well, need I say more! I know it is so not clear from the pic, but in the middle on the left of the photo I had included 3 little ID tags on the bracelet that spells ZOE with beads in between each letter. The 'E' has a little crown on, the 'O' is just in clear stones and the 'Z' is in purple with a little bow tie on it and stone, came out stunning man! Only realized at the party last night, that she is really into 'Play boy bunnies' if I had known that, I would have used the 'Z' with a little purple play boy bunny in...well, what she does not know...Hope you like it! Hope to add my charm bracelet I made to my blog tonight, I wear it so often as I am still in love with it :) Chat soon all. x

Classic 21st Birthday Glass Pearl Gift Set

I was commissioned by a colleague to make a necklace and earring set for her daughter-in-law’s 21st. I used glass pearls in 3 different earthy colors, as well as little silver ball (as spacers) and then some beautiful clear stone spacers (just dazzles them up so nicely!) for this project and she was hugely impressed with the final creation. This design attracted a lot of attention, so I can see myself making duplicates thereof, but just changing the colour scheme. Upon completion of all my creations, I place the jewellery item in a lovely organza bag which has a drawstring to close and that is how my clients receive them, I love the look. Thanks for popping by, please leave a comment as I really enjoy reading them.
